Oh Internet..

The internet was cutting in and out for about a month. I had sign on to the wireless and try to log on to my email and poof, the internet would be disconnected. It reminded me of a time not so long ago, when the only way to connect to the internet was dialing up with the phone line, and once someone calls the internet would cut out.

I was so frustrated that I decided to call our dear internet/cable company, Time Warner to see what was up. The nice man on the phone checked his side of things to see if there was any, what they called, "intermittent" connection. He said everything looked fine on his side and since our router was not Time Warner's there was nothing he could do. He suggested that I restart the router... so I did.

Long story short in order to install our router I needed to hook a computer up to the router. I couldn't use the wireless. It had to be through the eternet cord. Problem was, the desktop was in the bedroom and the router was in the living room, and our dear struggling laptop kept crashing when I tried to install the program. Ugh! SOOO...I finally gave up fighting the internet gods and dragged the desktop and all it's limbs out to the living room and install the router. It worked and so far the internet has not cut out ...yet.

Ah, the internet. I didn't think I was the type of person to NEED the internet. Maybe it's because I use the computer and the internet all day at work or maybe just because I really don't feel the need to update my status every hour or check other people's, but in those few moments where I wanted to sit down and read an email or two and I couldn't, my internet-needing beast came out. I guess I'm a little embarrassed that I couldn't even spend one evening at home without using the computer or going on Facebook. The internet wasn't always around..
